TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – Dec. 1, 2009) – Automated Benefits Corp. (the “Corporation”) (TSX VENTURE:AUT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew de Groot to Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing for Symbility Solutions Inc. In this role, Mr. de Groot will focus on driving the company’s sales initiatives and developing and maintaining relationships between Symbility and key industry professionals.

As Symbility increases its market share across North America and Europe, the Corporation sought Mr. de Groot to spearhead global sales development efforts and new client acquisition. Mr. de Groot’s career spans over two decades within the insurance industry, having recently served as General Manager of Guidewire Canada where he was responsible for the introduction of Guidewire’s solutions into Canada and had key account sales responsibility in the USA and internationally. He also held various sales positions in high growth or start-up divisions of DWL Inc., Journee Software, NCR Teradata, and SHL Systemhouse. Mr. de Groot has provided insurers all around the globe with e-Commerce, data warehousing, and business intelligence solutions and other core insurance applications.

Commensurate with his appointment, the Corporation granted Mr. de Groot 400,000 stock options on November 30, 2009, vesting in three equal tranches with one-third vesting immediately, one-third vesting in 12 months, and one-third vesting in 24 months, at an exercise price of $0.125.
