TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Jan. 23, 2013) – Symbility Solutions Inc.® (TSX VENTURE:SY) provider of cloud-based claims technology using the most comprehensive data for the property and casualty insurance industry, successfully concluded their 3rd annual Symbility Symposium that was held at the Marriott Sawgrass Resort & Spa – home of the world famous TPC Sawgrass Stadium Golf Course, annual host of The Players Championship.

This year’s Symposium brought together a diverse claims community including mitigation specialists, restoration contractors, independent adjusters, third party administrators, material suppliers and additional partner vendors, plus half of the top 10 property insurance companies in the market, to network, collaborate and discuss the future of the property and casualty industry and how we can collectively improve the claims experience for all participants.

Event Highlights

The event kicked off with welcoming comments from Symbility’s CEO James Swayze, followed by a dynamic and insightful keynote presentation from Don Tapscott, one of the world’s leading authorities on innovation, media and the economic and social impact of technology. He has authored or co-authored 14 widely read books including most recently Macrowikinomics: New Solutions for a Connected Planet (Revised Paperback, 2012). Marc-Olivier Huynh, CTO & Founder of Symbility Solutions highlighted Symbility’s product roadmap, including a demonstration of the Symbility Mobile Claims product on an iPad.

Ellen Carney, Senior Analyst, Forrester Research, kicked off the afternoon with a presentation on the importance of achieving a great customer experience and provided adoption trends and best practices in the property and casualty insurance industry as illustrations. The day concluded with an executive panel discussion made up of company CEO’s in the insurance industry, from carrier through to the supply chain, focused on the current challenges facing the property and casualty industry in improving the customer experience.
