The Farmers Insurance Exchange is part of the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies®, founded in 1928. Farmers today ranks as the third largest provider of automobile and homeowners insurance in the United States with over 15 million customers served by 24,000 employees across 41 states.

“Ease of use, data control and seamless integration with our enterprise systems were key reasons for moving to Symbility,” states Jim Daues, Senior Vice President, Farmers Insurance Exchange. “We set very aggressive targets for Symbility in terms of system modifications and completion dates and they met all of our requests, on time and on budget. At Farmers, we pride ourselves on employing innovative ideas that will help us better serve our customers. Symbility has proven itself to be the partner that will allow us to do this while keeping pace with the changing needs of Farmers and the insurance industry.”

The first phase of implementation for Farmers’ Specialty Division is scheduled for completion in late November 2010. This phase includes training and deploying Symbility applications to more than 600 field adjusters located across the United States in addition to staff and inside adjusting teams in the Specialty Division’s Grand Rapids, Michigan head office.

“The Symbility team is very proud to add Farmers Insurance to its valued client base. Working with an insurer of Farmers’ stature and reputation validates our integrated, collaborative approach to claims technology,” states James Swayze, President and CEO, Automated Benefits Corp. “Farmers is recognized as a leading claims organization and this contract demonstrates Symbility’s increased acceptance by the insurance industry. We look forward to working closely with Farmers to not only improve their policyholders’ experience, but to help shape the changing face of claims management in North America.”

Rollout of the Symbility platform consisted of multiple software enhancements covering three major releases over the past four months. Farmers expects to realize efficiency and productivity gains to their claim process, reduction of cycle times and improvements to the policyholder experience as a result of these enhancements.
