Insurance carriers globally evaluate the use of Symbility’s Video Connect to enhance policyholder experience
TORONTO, ONTARIO–(February 19, 2015) Symbility Solutions Inc.® (TSX.V: SY), provider of cloud-based and smartphone/tablet-enabled claims technology using the most comprehensive data for the property and casualty insurance industry, is pleased to report that its live video and audio collaboration technology, Symbility Video Connect™, is being validated by the global insurance industry as an important first step in consumer self-service.
Developed using Librestream’s Onsight Connect® technology, Symbility Video Connect, enables policyholders to report a claim and connect directly with the insurance adjuster to perform a complete and secure site inspection of a damaged property using the camera on their smartphone or tablet. All the adjuster has to do is guide the policyholder via the video and audio controls within the program, and gather all documentation and information required to determine services needed and complete the estimate, in some cases, in real-time.
Earlier this month USAA announced that it worked with Librestream Technologies to become the first insurance carrier to adopt this video collaboration technology in North America. Symbility Solutions has global insurance exclusivity for the distribution of Video Connect and have recently signed a contract with the Belgian insurer Argenta Assuranties to deploy Video Connect across their network. Additionally, a number of other Top 10 insurance carriers across North America and Europe are in the process of evaluating the Video Connect solution – another testament to the fact that Symbility’s video collaboration technology is empowering insurers to do business in a new way.
