The Company
Symbility Solutions Inc. is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Automated
Benefits Inc., which is publicly-owned and trades on the
TSX Venture Exchange
(symbol: AUT-X). Incorporated in 2002, Symbility is a pioneer in mobile
and wireless technology for the property claims industry.
Our co-founders last revolutionized the property
claims industry by introducing the world’s first Windows™-based property
claims estimating software, the Qirra Estimating System (1994). Our list
of innovations also includes pioneering digital imaging for property
estimates (1996) and the world's first mobile estimating system,
PocketScope (1997), which ran on the first generation of Microsoft's
mobile Windows® operating system.
Our management team is comprised of the perfect
mix of insurance industry veterans and technologists with specific
domain expertise of pen computing and wireless technologies, all with
proven successes building companies and revolutionizing industries.
We have and will continue to invest heavily in
research and development as we pursue our mission to revolutionize how
the industry processes property loss claims.
About Our CEO
James
R. Swayze has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry and has
held senior positions in the Canadian, United States and European
markets. He is the co-founder and past President of Insource Limited, a
consulting firm dedicated to financial services marketing and product
development, which was later sold to GE Capital. In 1997, Mr. Swayze
held the position of Senior Vice-President, Business Development of GE
Employers Reassurance Canada ("GE ERC") where he was a key member of the
senior management team and was instrumental in developing the start-up
life reinsurance of GE ERC in Canada to what is today a company with
assets in excess of $1 billion. In 2000, Mr. Swayze was transferred to
the United States parent company of GE ERC where he was appointed
Vice-President, Sales & Marketing for North America.
