BUG 1962: Printing estimate that
has greater than 20 images from Symbility.NET freezes Internet
Explorer
Symptoms: If you print an
estimate from Symbility.NET that has a combination of more than 20
photos or rooms, Internet Explorer would crash (show as not
responding).
Explanation: This was actually a bug within Internet Explorer
that we had to find a workaround for.
BUG 2078: mobile claims crashes when merging temporary claim that contains a
subtraction on a common wall
Symptoms: If
the floorplan of a temporary claim contained a subtraction
(Window/Door/Opening) on common wall (a wall shared by multiple rooms),
mobile claims would crash upon merging the temporary claim
into the real claim assignment.
Explanation: Fixed
Prior
to this feature, items could be applied to an entire surface (floor,
ceiling or wall) or to any lower portion of a wall (with the
introduction of the 'Set Wall Height' feature in version 1.0). Now
we introduce a nifty way to apply an item to any rectangular area of
any surface. If only a corner of the floor contains carpet to be
cleaned, or if you only need to replace a 2'x2' section of drywall,
this feature makes life a lot easier for you.
To apply an item to a specific surface area on a wall or floor,
don't drag the item to the floorplan/wall editor as you would
normally do. Instead, tap-and-hold the item/action in the database
view section of item pane. When the context menu appears, tap the
option Set Area to Attach.

Next, tap-and-drag to draw a rectangle within the floor on the
floorplan, or wall shown in the wall editor. As you drag you'll see
the SF (or SY) calculation being computed. When you release the
stylus, the item will be added to the item list with a quantity
equal to that shown in the surface area that you drew, which will
now be orange. The presence of handles on the borders of the drawn
surface area indicate that it can be further resized (which alters
the quantity of the item).
Keep in mind that just as you can drag items to walls or other
objects (casing, baseboard) in the wall editor, you can also define
a specific surface area within the wall editor.

A major improvement for the claim list—we've
added some great new features that make working with your company's
claims (even a very large list) much easier:
-
You can choose to
group the records in the claim list a variety of ways, such as
by Status, by Date of Loss, by estimate value (total of largest
estimate in the claim).
-
You can select up to
500 records to be shown on a single page, reducing the number of
pages to browse through.
-
Each record can be
expanded to show more details about the claim without having to
actually open up the claim to see them. You can also choose to
show all details for all claims.
You can now print claim files within mobile claims.
Unlike printouts from Symbility.NET, estimates are properly
formatted, with page breaks arranged intelligently, and pages
numbered in the footer. All pages in a claim file can be printed
(with the exception of the Loss Summary page—that will be
available shortly). Also, printing is available only with the PC
version of mobile claims.
In addition to being able to print the Loss Summary page, the same
proper formatting of estimates and all other pages will soon be
available when printing from Symbility.NET (which will also
automatically create PDF files).
No longer do you need to
add items to your rooms in the actual order that they should appear
in the estimate—you can now move line items within the item list by
dragging-and-dropping. Select one or more items, then drag them to a
new location.
